Domains are registered annually. Prices at registrars vary widely, from lows of around $7.00/year to highs of about $35.00/year. If your domain name comes bundled with other services (not usually a good idea!) it can be much, much, more. There are several good registrars to choose from. We have all of our domains at Go Daddy. They are reliable and their price, at around $10, is fair. We are generally not impressed with their support service so it’s fortunate we don’t need to use it often. We also don’t like the “in your face” advertising and up-selling at every turn. It’s annoying and we know of many people who have purchased things they just didn’t need because it seemed like they did. Setting up Domain Name Service entries and/or domain forwarding isn’t too difficult but it can be daunting for the uninitiated.
